Cal,Are You Still Thinking About Reiji?

He is Late ....
FINALLY HE OPENED THE DOOR

I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU REIJI,LOOK

CAL ......

Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

Cal Devens

A young girl that tried to hire Zwei, thinking he was a killer for justice, by using money she had unknowingly stolen from Inferno. Zwei tries to hide her from Inferno but is unsuccessful and in a move to save her life asks that she becomes his assistant as he had been to Ein. After an attempt on his life, Zwei took her for dead and was forced to leave America to go into hiding. Cal believed that she had been left behind by Zwei and was manipulated by an exonerated Scythe, who turned her beliefs into full hatred for Zwei and trained her as his third assassin, Drei. Her clothing and situation-teenaged girl trying to hire an assassin to avenge her murdered sibling, beginning to fall in love with said assassin, and learning the art of killing herself-are very similar to those of the character Mathilda from the film Léon.

Armed Librarians: Book of Bantorra – Episode 1

Bombs, Books and Sinking Ship
Summary

The episode starts with brainwashing of a certain guy. Those who have watched Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ will probably recognize the voice of Zwei… there are some other stuff that reminds me of Zwei, but lets leave that for later…
In any case, we find out that this guy has a goal in his life: kill Meseta Hamutz. And immediately we find out how that woman looks like… and we even find out that she has some strange magical powers.
The focus shifts to three guys in a ship: an ugly old geezer with sun glasses, Mr. Hologram and Mr. Pretty Boy. They have a casual talk thinking that this is some kind of cool secret meeting, not even knowing that Meseta is using her powers to stalk them. We find out that they are the TRUE MEN, not some whinnies. Mr. Pretty decides to act cool so he leaves the room and the ship is attacked.
By whom you ask? Well, by X-me… I mean, Librarians! Yeah, you heard it right! Librarians these days don’t hang around in libraries. These days, they are super heroes!
As they get near it, the ship belonging to Shidoki Church (which belongs to those three guys who claim to be THE TRUE MEN), they mention that there are Meats on the ship (who are supposed to be… or have been… humans) and notice one of them in the sea. Even tough the trap was lame and obvious, one of librarians still jumps into the sea, reaches the guy and gets blown into pieces.
Seeing that these Librarians are a bunch of idiots, the Church throws some more Meat’s into the sea to act as their minefield (why not just get normal mines instead of kidnapping people, brainwashing them and throwing them into the sea?) . During that time, the TRUE MEN leave the ship via teleportation. The fodder monks are left to fight against the librarians.
The minefield does not stop our Librarian Heroes and they manage to reach the ship. A guy who looks like the main protagonist makes some acrobatic jumps, rips of someone’s hand and gives a lousy speech about morals. Other characters just beat the crap from the poor guys (one blinds them with his shining muscles, one just shoots them with a shootgun and one casts some Rainbows).
After the mighty villains have been beaten, the heroes start searching the ship for Meat’s. The girl in red finds them and is disgusted by the fact that these men never took a bath (how dare they?). One of them is our bellowed Zwei-like guy from the beginning.
The heroes also find some barrels filled with bombs and a strange message. While they don’t seem to understand a word of it, Meseta (she is still stalking, y’know) does and comments that she won’t be able to settle this peacefully as she has hoped. She doesn’t look too disappointed tough…
Later on, some bombs on the ship are detonated. Both Librarian’s and Meat’s fall into the sea, but the lifeless Meat’s decide to drown in the sea rather then fight for their lives. Mighty Volken tries to save the Zwei-like guy, but fails as this one doesn’t care about his own life either. And while he is floating deep in the sea, some stone tablet falls on his chest and he gets visions of some girl. She says that she had many names (one of them being Laughing Witch) but wants to be called by her own name. She also has some interesting sword…
Back at the library, we meet three new Librarian characters: Cowgirl, Miss Clumsy and the Fearsome Maid Granny. Fearsome Maid Granny gives Miss Clumsy a lecture about books (they look like stone tables to me…) and we find out that when a peson dies, all his/her memories are stored in these books (Interesting…).
Then the focus shifts to another room where the Heroes, Director Meseta Hamutz. They talk about the Church, the Laughing Witch and similar stuff. The Fearsome Maid Granny enters and gives them some tea. She also offers Volken some mead, but he is an immature kid so he rejects it thinking that he will look older if he doesn’t eat mead.
As if that weren’t enough, he gives a heroic speech to director about how they should put their attention on saving the Meat’s instead of fighting against the Church that creates them. Director says a small joke and Volken leaves the room with his honor disgraced (IMO, his honor was disgraced even more when he left the room… I am starting to hate him y’know…) His female friend follows him and tries to make him understand that they need the Director because she has the powa, even tough she has some flaws in personality (WHAT?! HERESY! She and the Fearsome Maid Granny are the best characters here, y’know). Volken then tells her that she always states the obvious (which, for some reason, flatters her) and apologizes.
In some mining town, we find out that miners are looking for the book fragments of that Laughing witch. We also find out that Zwei is still alive (surprise, surprise…). He meets his boss Mr. Pretty , who is a TRUE MAN. He also meets two more meats and the three meat’s start singing a song.
The episode ends with Zwei thinking about the girl from his visions and how she said to him that she loves him. He thinks about how that is impossible because he is Phan…not human.

Personal Thoughts
A good first episode. It had some cliche’s, but plot looks promising so I will definitely continue watching (and bloging) this show.
I hate Volken. The guy seriously goes on my nerves

Armed Librarians: Book of Bantorra – Episode 2

Bombs, a Princess and a Gray Town
Summary

And so Fearsome Maid Granny acts as a Tourist Guide (from now, lets call her Fearsome Tourist Guide Maid Granny). She reveals some info about mythology of this world and mentions its gods. The gods seem to be connected with past, present and future, every god representing one of these aspects and Bantorra, the one whom Librarians follow is the god of Past, Bantorra (this is quite an interesting concept)
As they look upon the library exterior, the tourists are amazed by… something… I doubt that granny is amazing and I doubt that the exterior of the library is amazing either… hmm, maybe they are amazed because they did not get amazed by anything?
And then Granny says something fearsome: “This is the final destination for every life” and then welcomes the tourists… nobody is frightened tough… creepy.
And then comes the OP. After the OP, we see everyone’s “favorite” character Volken (you know, that annoying guy that always preaches and acts as if he just entered puberty) talking with the Granny. And this wouldn’t be Volken if he did not talk about morals and such stuff. But nobody listens to that because we are all more amazed by the fact that Librarians, in the dungeons where they keep their “books” also have monsters that they kill whenever they go there. Neat.
We also find out that Miss Meseta-san has the power to create clothes… and she likes putting bunnies there… as always, she is awesome (hopefully, we get to see her killing Volken) .
And then the focus shifts to that Mining Town. We see Colio (that Zwei dude) and his pals casually walking the streets, NOT looking for Meseta and meeting a guy who tries to sell them some “books”. While he tries to sell it to them, an Armed Librarian appears and takes away the seller. However, the seller managed to give Colio a piece of the book that is part of the book belonging to the Laughing Witch. Coincidence or…

Since one of his pal’s has some kind of a problem, the three pal’s stop and rest somewhere. However, a guy selling bread decides that they are no doubt people worth talking to. They talk a bit and Colio then decides to ask a stupid question: “Where is Hameyutz Meseta?” (obviously, bread-sellers know everything these days).

As if that wasn’t enough, that Armed Librarian from before appears again and overhears the conversation (he is the one that uses guns, BTW). At first, you would think that he is interested in them because they are members of the church, but when he demands that they take off their shirts… his reasons become a bit questionable… no wait, he wanted to see if they have bombs on their chests… oh well, lets go on with the story.
Colio, still filled with adrenaline, attacks him… and ends lying on the ground. Colio touches a book and reads a bit and while the Librarian asks him what is wrong with him (who asks his enemy what is wrong with him?!) and then an attack hits him. The attacker is Segal and he is using the same weapon that the Laughing Witch used in past. Interesting…
Colio uses the situation and distances from him. However, one of his pals (the one who ain’t so bright) decides to go BANG so he runs towards the Librarian and Bread-seller (who obviously didn’t get the idea of running away) and goes BANG. One Armed Librarian down. Oh, and one Bread-seller down as well.
The focus later shifts back to the Library where Norotei cries for the poor librarian’s death. However, the Fearsome Granny tells her to cry only until the sand-clock stops as Librarians must not let their emotions control them (or they will fall to the Dark Side and become Sith!) .
Then we find out that Meseta considers the guy to be a weakling (well, he did use guns and wasn’t awesome… in shows like this, that is death flag) . Then VOOOOOLKEN appears and demands from her to take him with her. She calls him a loser (OK, not in these words but you get the meaning) and tells him that she doesn’t need people like him (I approve of that opinion!). When they leave him, Volken emoes over it. However, no watcher listens as everybody is astonished by seeing an airplane (yes, that’s how interesting Volken is).
Colio’s remaining Bombastic pal deserts but meets Segal on the way and they… go to a bar. They talk a bit, Colio’s pal gets pissed off and goes BANG, but Segal survives without a wound.
Next morning, we find out that poor Colio is alone. He meets the bread-sellers girlfriend and they talk a bit. No matter how much he tries, Colio does not manage to say his trademark words: “I am not a human, I am a Bomb.”
Later on, Meseta jumps from her airplane and survives the fall… at least storywise. The art was horrifying so obviously saying that everything went well is a wrong statement. Colio at that time “reads a book” from that Witch. He sees her entertaining an plague-infected patient and we get to see Wizakh (who is obviously a former McDonald’s employee).
Colio then starts running around the town (aimlessly as Zwei in Phantom ep24). At that time, Meseta uses her power to find Meat’s in the city and using quite a unique technique, kills them one by one. The moment she finds Colio, the episode ends.

Personal Thoughts
A more interesting episode then the last one. We get to find out more about the lore, get some questions that we want answered and see more of Meseta’s awesomeness. Volken got less screentime which is definitely a plus and Colio is on path of becoming a very interesting character. Looking forward to the next episode.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Armed Librarians: Book of Bantorra – Episode 3

A Bomb, Humans and God’s Sickness
Summary

The start of episode is… sensual… with the bread-seller’s girlfriend sitting on a bad near Segal (she is quite fast in finding new boyfriends it seems). Segal puts something in her drink (and drink starts shining in purple color) and tells her that it will make her happy. She probably drank it.
Colio walks through the streets, showing to us that he is still alive… and still thinking that he ain’t a human beast. While thinking about the meaning of life and bombs, he meets the 0ld fart who sold him a part of the book in last episode… and tries to sell him another one. From Colio’s eyes there is no doubt that he would accept the offer. So he returns to his room and starts reading.
We see a loli Shiron gazing at the sunset. Behind her, some three brats throw stones at her and call her freak. While she is gazing, someone older behind her asks her why she is hated and she reveals that she dreams about future. Soon, she turns around and we see Wizakh (the McDonald’s employee from the last episode) and he tells her to come with her (pedobear alert…). He brings her to a room filled with nice clothes and similar Princess Stuff and tells her that she can have it all if she tells him about her visions. She tells him something about a dragon in crystal and soon we find out that the King got it and is pleased.
Then, one night she had a vision: from the dragon, an illness spread. She tries to warn the people about it, but the Wizakh and the Church of… something… gets her first and stops her from revealing the future to the people. She falls into depression and turns into a spoiler emo brat and we find out that the sword she had in one of visions is one of 7 war-machines of the past, weapons wielded by the gods in the past… and it was found where she dreamed that it would be. Drunk as she is, she tries to commit suicide but gives up and burst in tears.
Later on, we see her walking (with that weapon of hers, the Shlamuffen) through the streets filled with corpses of people who died from the disease. She approaches the King and reveals that she is able to create a cure. She is soon recognized as the the Ever-laughing Saint, the person who is able to cure people from the deadly disease.

While she, Wizakh and some other people ride through the crowds, someone asks Wizakh if it is wise to give Shlamuffen to her. He tells him that it is alright, as their savior needs a symbol. He also mentioned that she has neither the courage to oppose them and neither the courage to end her own life. But one morning she wakes up (and we get to see an almost naked pic of miss Shiron… as does Colio which is probably the reason he is reading her books) and looks towards the rising sun. A tear goes down her cheek and she tells “One day we will be together…” to someone. Then we see her on a fields, slaughtering Wizakh and his soldiers with the Shlamuffen. Immediately after the slaughter, it seems that she visited the King and revealed that she and the Church waited for the disease to spread so that they could make profits from selling the antidote. The King and the people are outraged and she is sent to execution. She is not sad tough… she smiles… and once again looks towards the sun.

Once our dear Zwe… Colio stops reading, he notices that there is a woman in his bed. He asks her who she is and she reveals that she is Hameyuts Meseta and says “Treat me kindly, won’t ya?”. He remembers the orders and goes to detonate the bomb, but the image of Shiron comes to his mind and he stops. She demands from him to give her the book fragment, but he rejects and protects his precious… So she is forced to wipe the floor with him and take it. She then asks him if he fell in love with Shiron (thats out Meseta: always so direct).

He tells her that he did not as he is not a human. So she solves the problem: she stabs her hand into his chest and takes out the bomb from him. Manly as always, Zwe… Colio screams and starts crying. She then proclaims that she turned him into a human and leaves, wondering what the Mr. Bomb-In-Love will do now.

After unintentionally making one of Segal’s spies commit suicide, she uses her powers to track Segal. But before she is able to kill him with her sling, he starts talking (obviously, he noticed her). He blabbers about his super magnificent book again and she loses the will to kill.

Next day, two librarians (about whom we forgot that they even exist) are making an attack on a certain place where some enemies should be. However, what they find is a massacre few days old. Using her telepathic powers, the female librarian contacts Meseta… telephaticaly of course… and tells her about what they found. She tells them to keep investigating… while she continues stalking on Mr. Bomb-In-Love. However, she notices the bread-seller’s girlfriend coughing and lying on the floor so she pays her a visit. Meseta and Librarians find out two things.

First, the dead people and the girlfriend are infected with Dragon Pneunomia (the disease that we saw in Shiron’s past).

Second, this was Church’s trap and now they are all infected. Segal: 5, Librarians: 1.

The rest of Librarians are shocked about what that and one of them and all librarians go on a mission to stop the disease fromspreading.. all but Volken who needs to stay and guard the library because Meseta doesn’t like him. He almost starts crying.
In meantime, a typhoon is coming to the city where Meseta is. The problem? She can’t use her powers when it is windy. Ah yes, and the two other librarians are attacked by zom… meats…
While thinking about the meaning of life (again) and about how he loves Shiron, Colio notices acat that looks like Shiron (yep, it sounds weird) and follows it towards the bread-sellers girlfriend.
Also, Volken emoes over what happened to him. Before he can start whining, the old fart who sold to Colio Shiron’s books arrives and decides to sell a book to Volken (what book you ask? The answer is obvious when we are speakign about puberty brats: pornbook).
At the end of episode, Meseta and Segal confront one another.

Personal Thoughts
A great episode that allowed us to see most of Shiron’s story (we still don’t know the reason behind her betrayal tough), Colio’s return to humanity… in a sadistic kind of way… and a set-up for the next episode
