Reviews but not really : Vinland Saga
Anime Relations: Vinland Saga
I'm almost certain that Vinland Saga is a masterpiece in the making and that anyone who sleeps on it is going to regret it.
If you are thinking about giving it a shot : Do it. It's worth it.
If you gave it a try and found the first couple episodes boring or uninteresting : Stick with it. It's worth it.
Introduction : "Vinland Saga takes place during the reign of Sweyn Forkbeard in the early 1000s. In the year 1002, King Æthelred made the disastrous decision to slaughter over 100 Danish settlers as revenge for Viking raids. The St. Brice's Day Massacre provoked Denmark into invading the British Isles, which would be conquered by Sweyn's son Cnut ."
The show is all about Vikings but that's not all , it also has hell of a character development and a fantastic plot which will make you want to watch the next episode as soon as you finish the current one . The characters are so beautifully portrayed that at one point you will feel like you know them for quite a while . The show also has some nice CGI....uhh , forget I said that . The CGI isn't "that" good but it's doable .
The MC (Thorfinn) is a good character but he may seem pretty one-dimensional at times and also the second opening might suck .
Author Note : First time tried doing blogs and looks like I suck , tried to praise the show and ended up being neutral ;-; (atleast stayed true to the title) . Well , I did give out some pros and cons but at the end of the day your opinion is the one that matters , so give it a try and check it out for yourself .
