Anime Relations: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou - Meikyuu-hen
Good evening everyone,

This is just going to be a post where I offload a few things and get them out there, kind of like a journal entry.

Today was a relatively good day; I didn't have to wake up early since it was one of my days off, I drank almost entirely water, which is a health goal of mine in the big picture, and I got to meet up with and remotely invite some friends for Raid Hour today in Pokemon GO. On that last detail, I finally got to try a Mega Banette raid and now have enough to Mega Evolve one for myself once I get a lucky-shiny for myself. I'm actually trying to get a lucky-shiny version of all the Starters, Legendaries, and Mega-capable monsters. Along with a select few favorites and what I get from trading with friends to help them get more meta-relevant creatures.

On the way home the car started acting up and broke down for a moment, but luckily once I turned it off and back on it cranked back up and I cautiously made it home. The car has had issues for a while, but it's been okay for little trips to work and around town for errands until this most recent issue started getting worse and actually became a real concern today. I've got a shop I plan on taking it to, and while they're looking at it I'll figure out some other way to get to work.

Speaking of work, I'm going to be looking for a new job for a few reasons. The manager and area manager have made it clear they don't care at all about the employees under them, and have even gone out of their way to destroy and remove a bench we would sit on for breaks. That really bothered me because I had learned a previous employee had built that, and had since passed. While it wasn't anything pretty, it wasn't an eyesore either, and other folks would use it from time to time when they needed to rest. Another reason is I've developed some possibly neck and back injuries from my six months at this job, most likely from lifting heavy parts so regularly. The pay for that toll on my already injured body isn't nearly worth it, and unfortunately I've never been good at taking things easy on my body either. The only benefit to this current job is that on good days it's almost the perfect mix of moving around and getting to rest (when I'm driving), so that's something I've enjoyed seeing with my step count. Hopefully my next occupation will be something with a company that cares about the employees and that's much easier on me physically. I'm going to be looking at government office duties and entry-level financial positions among other things.

My major long-term goals are to somehow get enough money to have a custom small house built that's just nice enough so I don't spend more than I have to, with the intention of paying it off as quickly as possible so I can enjoy things much more in life with the extra money I'd otherwise have to put towards a mortgage or rent payment. Ideally I'd have just a little bit of private land to build it on and not be far away from the stores I visit regularly. This idea has been something on my mind for a while, but I still haven't made much progress beyond just having a rough concept of the design in my head. A few key things would be a nice shower area (maybe even a wet bath like Japanese homes usually have), enough room to have a guest visit for a while and it not be uncomfortable, and very good insulation so it wouldn't require much energy to heat or cool (along with the small size of the house, which I'm ball-parking in the range of 400-650 square feet).

As far as anime and manga goes I just finished the fourth season of DanMachi, which I enjoyed well enough. I think a second part to it comes out next season, which I plan to watch. The other night a group of friends and I watched the first couple episodes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which seemed like a good start. I haven't played the game yet so I may have already missed out on some details, but it seems Studio Trigger is doing a great job with the animations and design of the series. There are a few anime from this season and last season I'd like to see, mostly in the romance and daily life categories.

As far as gaming goes a few friends and I started playing StarCraft 2 multiplayer against bots to have something to do together, and that's been nice except after a while it's a bit too repetitive building up to the same units each time. We tried a Big Game Hunters 4v4 match with all the custom units and basically infinite resources, but my computer couldn't handle that and my FPS fell to the unplayable level. Besides that I've briefly played Overwatch 2, which has been quite disappointing, as well as an adult game I saw mentioned by a YouTuber I follow who covers those types of games. This coming year I'd like to put together a new computer for myself, and maybe a couple other people, since what we have is getting pretty old or doesn't work anymore. For example my desktop, which is what I game on most these days, is running a 3570 processor with a 1050Ti graphics card. Certainly better than what some have, but I think it's about time the base computer goes back to lighter-duty tasks.

A few things I'm looking forward to in the next month or so would be Pokemon Scarlet, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, more Fall weather, the Holiday feeling getting more in the air as we close-in on Thanksgiving, my birthday, and the new Slime Datta Ken movie releasing in Japan.

I think that's all for now, but if anyone reads through all of this, thank you, and I hope you're having a good day.
