Anime Relations: Vinland Saga, Nakanohito Genome [Jikkyouchuu], Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki desu ka?, Enen no Shouboutai, Dr. Stone
Just a little heads up, there's some spoilers in this post just like in the first part, so read with caution.

Continuing with the rest of the shows we have MILF-sekai the anime . . . Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? I knew exactly what this show had in store and therefore was not disappointed. It's a trashy, by the books, harem anime, and it's fine. Maybe it's because I'm not yet filled to the brim with generic anime in general, but I found this show pretty enjoyable. It's that type of show that I watch after a long day and just have fun.
The story is nothing special even with the addition of the whole mother and child relationship stuff. It's actually the characters who make it so likable. Everyone is a trope, but they somehow make it so that they don't become irritating. The main character is actually pretty refreshing. He's not the type of guy who is completely stupid and he surprisingly acts the way that I would expect if my mom was constantly placed in scenarios that imminently turn into fan service; annoyed. He doesn't get flustered at any of the fan service from any other characters besides the only girl who he is attracted to.
The art style is pretty mediocre and doesn't really stand out when compared to other shows this season, but I must admit that the fact that the animation has stayed consistent and never really falls to a level from something from My Sister My Writer goes to show that this show might just be worth a shot if you're into the aforementioned genres.
The OP perfectly sums up this show. You won't get amazing animation or a unique art style, but it can be appreciated it for what it is. The characters are exactly what you would expect, but the're also the heart of the show and the main reason as to why I find it so charming.
Will continue to watch because I love my mom (:

Dr. Stone is amazing. This show has one of the most unique premises that I've seen in a long time and it's definitely worth watching. This anime provides everything you could ever want from a shounen anime and more.
The story is very interesting and the pacing of it is also admirable. The flow up until now feels natural and before you know it, the episode is over. The way that actual science is incorporated and makes the rules of the show clearer is pretty jaw-dropping.
The characters are all believable and compelling, especially Senku and the villain. First off the bat, we see Senku as this brilliant mastermind who knows everything, but it actually turns out that it wasn't always this way. He had to work for it. A lot. And the way that we get to see him struggle both before and after the stone catastrophe while also showing his more goofy side makes us realize that he really is just a wacky high schooler who wants to rebuild civilization, which is honestly a huge selling point for me. However, the villain's motivations just increase my desire to follow the story further. The way that he thinks and his ultimate goal are actually valid and he is a real threat to Senku's ideals, so witnessing how each of them will try to accomplish their goals is something that I want to do.
Though the animation is consistent and the art is appealing, there is a certain lack of detail in the first few episodes. This kinda sucks because it can turn some viewers away, especially if they are expecting it to look as good as the manga. And yes, the manga does look amazing, but it really is the only negative point for the show. Not only that, the latest episodes look amazing, so it really shouldn't turn you away, especially since you're missing out from a great story.
I haven't really payed attention to the music, but I must say that the OP is a complete banger and always hypes me up for the show.
I will continue to watch because I don't want to study for my chemistry test (:

I was really excited when I saw the trailers for Fire Force. I really was. And that excitement is still there, but I can't help but feel as if something is off. When I watched the first episode, I was blown away. How could I not? The action and animation set this show off to be one of the greatest to air this season with just the first twenty minutes. I guess that's why the latest episodes feel so disappointing.
The story is unique and intriguing, but it seems as if nothing is really going on. Maybe the pacing is a bit slow for my liking or the episodes lack what made it so appealing in the first episode. Whatever the case maybe, I'm excited to learn more about what exactly is behind closed doors.
Although the characters are charming in their own right, I don't really feel attached to them. Sure they are cute and they each have their own backstory, but they haven't really been through enough development for me to care enough. I will admit that Shinra's team has genuine chemistry and they all seem to have a strong connection with one another.
The art style is right up my alley. As a huge fan of Soul Eater and Ohkubo sensei in general, the art is downright really pretty. It's pretty surprising that this was actually not made by Bones. No matter, it's really good. The animation is another story. The first episode's big fight showcased amazing animation and the choreography was pretty stellar. In recent episodes though, there seems to be a decrease of quality. Whenever characters fight, it looks stiff and lacks the excitement that the first one had. It's even worse when the characters aren't even doing anything.
The OP is great. In fact, it's sometimes the only thing that motivates me to continue watching. The ED too. Both are absolute bangers in my book.
Will tune in next time because Inferno is worth it ):

I love The Ones Within. I haven't seen much talk about this show, and I guess it has reason as to why. Yes it's another isekai, and many point to it being a Danganronpa ripoff as well. I have never seen Danganronpa, so I have no point of comparison for this statement. Although the aspect of having the people transported to another world be let's players doesn't add a very unique turn to genre, it's the various challenges that the characters go though that make this show entertaining.
There's actually more to the plot than just having let's players try to reach certain amounts of views. However, expanding the world as we know it actually brought in a lot of question for me. Wouldn't Paka be able to see that the person he locked up escaped, as there's a huge fucking hole in the in the bathroom? How are the people able to survive for years underground? Mermaids? This is actually pretty distracting for me and I fear that it will lower my enjoyment of the show if the rules of the world aren't made clearer.
The characters are lovable. Everyone has their own unique personalities, but I can see how the tropes that they each represent can become unbearable for some. I on the other hand can appreciate how each differing personality adds to the chemistry of the cast and changes the dynamic of how certain challenges that they must compete play out.
The art style is what you'd expect an anime to look like, but the animation is consistent and it continues to have the quality present in the first few episodes.
The OP though generic, is a nice listen and the colors are pleasing to the eye. I have nothing to say about the OST because I don't even remember it and I always skip out on the ED.
Will continue it watch because Akki is best boy (:

And last but not least we have Vinland Saga. Probably one of the strongest shows this season. I've seen the manga being hyped for years now, and I haven't read it so I have no point of comparison, but this show is urging me to check it out because I just know that the show might not do it justice in some aspects. This isn't to say that the show isn't great though.
Although the story has some really great action, you have to deal with a slower pace in the first few episodes. I actually enjoyed this time because it was a chance for the show to establish the world and to introduce the characters, but I can see how this might turn someone away because it's not really constant killing and war. At the pace we are at now, it is a joy to follow Thorfinn and learn about just how the world operates. I'm excited to see how they build on the whole theme of killing your enemies and what that makes of who you are and how it will develop Thorfinn as a character.
The art and animation are pretty consistent and you don't have to worry about losing quality as episodes air. However, an issue that was distracting at some points was the lack of detail. There would be moments where Thorfinn would stab someone and his knife was completely clean. The CGI background characters also stand out, but if you can look past it, it shouldn't really take away from the experience.
The OST actually adds to the enjoyment of the show and helps to establish tone. The OP and ED are some of the best this season.
Will tune in next time because I want to see that Thorfinn recovered from his injuries from episode 9 (:
