Anime Relations: Nichijou
When you search the top comedy anime on youtube, it's likely that Nichijou will be one of them. What is that? You think that's the reason why I watched this anime? You are absolutely right.

Although Nichijou had some hilarious moments, such moments won't make it to my list of 'Top Comedy Anime'. There's no plot which I don't mind. What I actually do mind is when the flow of episodes are not fluid. It made me unsure of what to feel especially when most of the situations were soo random that you're left pondering what the joke was. Sure, we have different perspectives but seriously for anyone who lists this as their top 10 probably didn't watch Beelzebub or Binbougami Ga! yet. If you are one of them then lemme tell you that those two anime I mentioned showed a lot of random moments as well. Therefore, the plot is likely nonexistent or if it exists, it is not as impacting as some other heartwarming and breaking anime. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is it may have been my fault for not getting the jokes since it caters to the Japanese audience but that doesn't mean I am not allowed to be confused why I didn't find this anime that funny.

If you're a big fan of multiple main characters then this may be up to your alley but if you're looking for a significant character development, look elsewhere. Well, one character that goes by the name of Nano had a bit of development but that just it. Most of them are just forgettable especially the girl Mai. I am left flabbergasted when I found out a lot of people find her funny because she's 'savage'. Which side? Which situation? She's the most boring character on this show and if this anime is real life, I doubt she will have friends that will stick with her. How could she be? Most of the time, she doesn't really help her friends and if she does, it's more of like a savage act which basically means she made the situation worse while showing her expressionless face. Speaking of forgettable character, lemme insert the most annoying character on this show: Misato Tachibana. The tsundere girl who hides her embarrassment by using weapons to hurt the guy she likes. This overly exaggerated reaction of hers made me wish that I can tell the creator to remove her out of this series because pretending her not existing doesn't help. To be honest, I really don't like tsundere especially if they go overboard but man, this tsundere Misato takes the cake.

The only character I really like is Mio (well aside from Sakamoto). She is definitely a funny character and not necessarily overly exaggerate all the times. Most of her situations were funny, especially with the 'manga' scene. Unfortunately, her character can't save this anime.

Comedy: Mio 2 points and Sakamoto 2 points, 2 points for comedy itself : 6
Slice of Life: Comedy itself is a risky genre but slice of life? Why would you put this under the slice of life genre? Oh my God! 99% were exaggerated random comedy and 1% slice of life. Seriously? Enough.
School: Most of the times, the shenanigans happened at school so there you go. There's the setting.

What made me watched it?
