Anime Relations: Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch, Clannad, Fate/Zero, Shinsekai yori, Psycho-Pass, Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru., Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
It should be noted that all anime here I could recommend to someone regardless of what they are looking for, however I made a few categories for some specific ones.

Romance: Out of all genres, romance is my expertise. Romance is going to be basically just anime that include a romantic relationship between two leads.

-Clannad] is an incredible romance anime that is one of the first anime I ever watched. It has great character development and will move your heat. The soundtrack is beyond phenomenal and I even listen to it often. There are two seasons and the romance in this feels more developed than any other anime out there.

-Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo] Is an amazing Romance anime. I seriously love this anime. It does have some slight fanservice, but I loved this show. The girl lead is really quirky but I liked that about her. It has a very satisfying ending, but it leaves more to be desired. The romance does not get as developed as other anime, however the overall anime and decent development is enough for me to recommend this to anyone.

-Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru] Another great romance anime. This show has two seasons with the development in the first season being decent, but the romantic development pretty minimal, however in the second season the development goes much further. I would also recommend reading the novels, though the anime is caught up to the novels with no new volumes coming out for around a year.

Psychological: I haven't seen many shows in this genre, but I have seen some very good ones that I could recommend. Psychological anime for me is anime with really deep themes, which the characters in the show may feel mental stress.

-Shinsekai Yori] Is my favorite. It is about humans that have developed telekinesis. It has an incredible soundtrack, and the show is beautifully animated. It has incredibly interesting themes and will really make you think. If you just want to watch a show for sheer entertainment without thinking deeply, you will not get as much out of this show.

-Psycho Pass] This show has my favorite antagonist of any anime. This show is about a computer system that runs Japan detecting peoples mental state. It also has deep themes, though the character is more driven by the characters Mashirimo and Kougami.

-ReZero] This show gets a decent amount of hate, though I find it mostly irrelevant or due to perspective. The show is very enjoyable. To better explain here is a slight spoiler from episode 1

Action: I don't have as much experience with this which is surprising as it is the most popular. Shows with great action sequences and phenomenal story lines are the minimum to get on this list.

-Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works AND Fate Zero] These two anime are incredible. The look absolutely gorgeous with incredible animation, good soundtracks and a very interesting story. Fate Zero has a slightly darker tone, while UBW is about high school kids. (The school element is mostly irrelevant)

-Code Geass] This is a slightly older anime which came out around 2008. The animation is not on the same level as Fate Zero, but still looks decent. The story is what makes up for it though. I feel like this show had possibly one of the greatest plots of any anime I have ever seen. The main character is an absolute genius, and makes for very interesting tactics to the point where the show can almost feel like a thriller. You will always be on your toes wondering what will happen next.

Honorable Mentions:(By NO means less great than above anime)

-Steins;Gate] This is one of my favorite anime of all time. It looks great, sounds great, the characters are lovable, and the story is phenomenal. It is time travel done right. The anime is hard to describe without just spoiling it outright, just look at it's average rating and understand that it is a must watch.

-Spice and Wolf] I absolutely love this anime. I would say this show is character driven. I would say there isn't quite a specific plot, but more of a background plot of Lawrence taking Holo to her homeland. The show gets two wonderful seasons, of great banter, beautiful soundtracks, and interesting events. What really give this show the cake, is the novels. I am no big reader, but the novels for this show are finished and licensed in English. They are well written and definitely worth buying.

-One Punch Man] There is no plot. There is a very basic plot. Don't try to look deep into this show, as you will find nothing, however understand this. The show is incredible. It looks gorgeous, sounds great, and is hilarious. The main character is the strongest character you will see in any anime. His strength is pure satire. It may look strange at first, but is definitely worth watching.

-Gosick] I feel like this show is slightly underrated, but nevertheless is a great watch. It's a mystery type story in a Victorian setting. I can't remember the OST, but the opening is phenomenal. The mysteries are interesting and are all intertwined to form a great story. There is a decent touch of romance that makes this anime really enjoyable. Not much I can say other than to go watch it. Also, please don't mind the lead Loli.
