After my Big Order post, I got an invite to some club about blogging.
Good to know that someone is looking out for me.

Last season was the start of my anime "uprising", where I put in the effort to watch more than just a couple shows. I watched ten to start and ended up with twelve or thirteen, and this season I'm putting even more on my plate. These are the fifteen anime I've recklessly charged into this season, and what I think about them so far...

Also I'm gonna format them like shit because IDK what to do with this weird blog size.

IT'S HERE! IT'S FINALLY HERE! THE NEW SEASON OF MIRAI NIKKI! I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED IT BUT IT'S FINALLY HERE! AND IT'S THE MOST absolutely terrible thing ever. Kidding, it's not 100% horrible, but wow is it weak. Sakae Esuno proves once again that his writing is a bunch of shit-for-brains, but at least Mirai Nikki had some big moments. Not really sure what Big Order is going for other than "take a bunch of popular anime and awkwardly put them in one spot." Mirai Nikki-inspired characters get Code Geass powers which function like JoJo's Stands but look closer to Ajin's... Ajins. It's a shame that this actually sounds like an incredible series.
Still, I'm emotionally bound to Mirai Nikki so it's another wild ride for me. But like its sibling, I can't defend Big Order for being such a big mess.
I did an entire post where I ranted and commented on the whole episode here, if you wanna see that.

Also known as My Hero Academia

ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH! One Punch Man has some sort of setting where everyone is a superhero, but someone wanted to see what it'd be like if it wasn't... you know, a fucking joke. It doesn't stray away from basic shounen techniques, but it definitely has some emotional power; if anything, it's a fun series that's easy to get into.

And now, the next episode of FUCK YOU, A-1 PICTURES.

FUCK YOU A-1 PICTURES FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU.
WHY DO PEOPLE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS.
THEY SPENT FOUR DOLLARS ON THIS WHOLE PROJECT AND PEOPLE LIKE IT BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING EFF-EFF-EX-VEE. GO FUCK YOURSELF.
STOP A-1 2016 PLEASE

mfw anime is called "stray dogs" and the main character's power is turning into a cat.
It's actually pretty funny, and not in that "LOLRANDOMXD" kind of funny that a lot of shows that might be named Prince of Stride go into. It's not every day that you see a character repeatedly try to kill themselves and enjoy the idea of it and laugh at them without needing to blast Linkin Park's "Crawling" over it.

We now return to FUCK YOU, A-1 PICTURES.

Also known as Ace Attorney

FUCK YOU A-1 PICTURES FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU.
WHY DO PEOPLE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS.
THEY SPENT FOUR DOLLARS ON THIS WHOLE PROJECT AND PEOPLE LIKE IT BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING PHOENIX WRIGHT.
LOL "OBJECTION!" AMIRITE?

can i please get a video game anime that doesn't constantly remind you that it's a fucking video game??? i mean jesus just treat it like a normal anime
at least this one isn't an advertisement

I'm gonna move to Japan and write the best light novels ever. If it's seriously THIS EASY to get published and adapted into an anime, this should be a piece of cake.
I will now proceed to list all of the good things about Hundred, and why it is worth your time and why you should choose this over the other 9,000 anime like this: .
And I thought I was getting away with not watching The Asterisk War again.

Also known as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable

Guess who's back, bitches. Taking away some of the macho-ness and adding much more style, Diamond goes deeper into the concept of Stands introduced in Stardust Crusaders. It's still very much like JoJo, so if you're Coolidger and don't like that then you're not gonna have a good time with this show, but it's good for everyone else.

An oddity. Not too sure of where it's gonna go but I'm pretty interested. It's about spies or some shit but they haven't done a whole lot of spying yet. The story needs to pick up soon because so far every character looks the goddamn same and aren't very interesting. Who knows. Come back in like ten weeks or something.

Everyone's favorite savior of anime is back again... but this time with a moodier character-driven story. Everyone here gets to share their edge; not sure what's gonna happen because the first two episodes were spent on introductions, but it's interesting to see Trigger take on a more mature story...
...
oh, wait

TRIGGER IS BACK, BABYYYYYYYY ANIME IS SAVED!

It's here! It's finally here! The new season of Attack on Titan! Wow, isn't it just amazing! The best anime ever! 10/10, flawless, I'm so happy. I'm glad we finally got this. Thanks, everyone.

just kidding

Also known as Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

This is literally Attack on Titan, except the titans are zombies, and they use trains. There's... no difference. However........ I think Kabaneri can get away with this slightly because this isn't just some dumb studio trying to cash on in the AoT hype; it's LITERALLY the same people who make the AoT anime. Same studio, same director, same producers, they even have the same fucking voice actors. If you really love Shingeki, then you'll love this. If you don't, you won't be won over.

Also known as The Lost Village

Now, I'm no expert at this, but if you ask me, starting your anime by introducing thirty fucking characters one by one is not the right thing to do. And ALL of them are basic tropes. Who came up with this shit? ....................The Shirobako director?! WHAT THE FUCK.
Though I actually just watched episode 3 and it's getting better, because everyone is batshit insane and my favorite character is a guy that doesn't talk and tried to kill someone with a gardening hoe for being a little bitch. Respect.

Also known as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-

why is everyone in this anime so fucking hot
Imagine that the main character of KonoSuba was given the ability to time-travel similar to Erased. That's Re:Zero, more or less. It has some solid comedy but is a lot more intense than KonoSuba, as this is an actual action show. Based White Fox does a pretty good job with the fights and some camera work reminiscent of their Steins;Gate adaptation, but they slack off with the setting by adding a bunch of characters in the background with horrible CG movement. But overall it's a pretty well-made show with a fun concept that doesn't exactly break the mold but is interesting enough to not be nauseating.

Also known as Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto

Imagine if One Punch Man was a slice-of-life. The main protagonist can basically do anything possible, except prevent earthquakes from delaying his episodes. That's Sakamoto. Sakamoto is basically god and everyone wants to fuck him but some other guys want to fuck him up for being such a chick-magnet. Sakamoto then reverses all their efforts and makes himself look even better. It's pretty great; not sure how long it will stay entertaining though.
BTW if you wanna know how dedicated I am to my work, I listened to that song in its entirety and I want to smash my face through a fucking window now.

Also known as Twin Star Exorcists

Boku no Hero and Re:Zero are good because they stay in familiar territories and simply play to their strengths so they stand out more. Onmyoji is not good because it tries to be different with its onmyodo stuff but charges into typical shounen territory. MC has an unfortunate backstory, is/becomes the best at whatever, female lead doesn't like him but they have to work together, they fight early on for honor or some shit, a bunch of crappy, childish humor, the writing's a big pile of "meh" accompanied by some more interesting fights. Gotta give this show credit, it has some very stylish fights, but I wish they'd stop interrupting them to make a bunch of text appear on screen and have the character go "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" whenever they use an attack. Fucking annoying.

Wow, it sure got gay in here all of the sudden. Deen is saving shotacon! Let me just say this. It's a college student or some shit taking in a feral kid who's probably not old enough to train Pokemon as his younger brother. You get what you pay for. I do appreciate the self-awareness and the solid writing, though the transition between the first episode and the second was very awkward and confusing. But again. ALL the homo.

And that's about it.
"LUCKS Y RN'T YU WATCHIN <insert currently airing show here>"
BECAUSE I HAVE SHIT TO DO, FUCK OFF.
I may pick up more shows down the line if Digibro's 5-hour podcast tells me to or if it has a significantly good status or if I have to do it for someone else's podcast etc. For now I'm watching what I have.
