Come on, the original writer of Neon Genesis Evfangelion didn't even like the way it turned out. He was only happy with it after the rebuild movies.

I seriously do not understand why people take budget of something into account.

Who gives a shit if they had amazing budget or shit budget?

Does it deserve admiration if it's awesome and it had almost no budget? Sure!
Does it deserve admiration if it's awesome and had a huge bugdet? Sure!

Does it deserve admiration if it's average and had almost no budget? meh
Does it deserve admiration if it's average and had a huge budget? meh

Does it deserve admiration if it's shit and had no budget? No.
Does it deserve admiration if it's shit and had a huge budget? No.

FINAL QUESTION: Should admiration come into account when objectively reviewing a series that even the author wasn't happy with?
