Hey Guys!

I am starting to do anime reviews again and I wanted your help. I am still debating if I want to start a club to get people to help read over anime reviews, give advice, help others start writing reviews, ect, but I am still not sure what I want to do.

What i do know though is that I am looking for people to tell me shows they want me to write reviews on.
Criteria is simple.

Regardless whether I have watched the show or not, if I want to write a review I will probally have to rewatch the show so feel free to give me shows that are not on my anime list as "watched" and I will consider watching it and writing a review on it. I will most likely start watching any show, but please, if you are going to recommend a show for me I am not really a fan of shows that are rated less than pg13 (I kinda need there to be some type of blood or something interesting :D) Also for the Entry Anime Relations I am just putting random anime's up just because it is forcing me to.

Please Please Please give me any advice for what you want me to do, if I should start the club and how I should approach trying to start (or restart) what I love doing!

Thanks!

The short synopsis you gave was "This is a post apocalyptic anime (in short the end of the world type of anime) and for the most part follows the 17th platoon on the journey they embark". Most people would be "17th platoon of what?".

You could just try to expand on this a bit more, Archaeon wrote: "The story begins in the academy city of Zuellni, a domed mobile "fortress" that roams the post apocalyptic world, where Layfon Wolfstein Alsief is hoping to forget his turbulent past and begin a new life. Unfortunately, he quickly catches the attention of Karian Loss, the student council president, and Nina Antalk, the leader of the 17th Military Arts Platoon". Something to just let people know what its about, you wont be at fault to simply summarize the same info MAL used and add it to your work :)

Ok 6am I am going to attempt a response! So I do agree with what you said about the main plot point and having a short summary about the story, the issue I had about writing a short summary was the lack of what to actually write. Like what I saw in this anime was a post apocalyptic show (I am really unsure of the time period) like the use of weapons seems advanced but then they are writing letters in it also. Aside from that and probably stating a sentence or 2 on filth monsters is there much more to add?

I just read your Chrome shelled regios review, it was good indeed.

One of the most important aspects of a review, i believe, is the opening sentence/paragraph, whatever is written should be interesting enough to make readers want to keep reading. Also, if possible, find one important plot aspect of the show as your opening and try to make sure the rest of your review either correlates or builds on it. "Why is it that those who seek power will go any length to become strong, and why is it that those who have power never want to use it?" is indeed the best way to start the review for the show and one of the most important plot devices about it.

One of the rules to write a review as stated by MAL is not to write a synopsis due to the fact of it already being stated in the anime's page, however i dont agree with this, as some people usually post their reviews on websites and other places. The only thing lacking from the review is a short story about what the show is about, to someone who is yet to watch the show, the review would seem really disjointed, if you can edit and add that in somewhere, it'll help alot.

I wont blame you though, it's another big misconception by almost all reviewers, a review should be directed at people who have not watched a show and not the other way around.

Well, if you want something to review that hasn't been reviewed to death, I recommend Yawara! A Fashionalbe Judo Girl. After waiting for a very long time for it, I finally watched it recently after it was FINALLY subtitled. IMHO it's one of the very best ever done. I rated it a 10, something I don't do often. It is long, 124 episodes, but worth the watch. So, if you are interested, there is only 1 very short review here on MAL for it.
