Amatsuki seems more like a 13 episode long teaser trailer then an actual anime. However, a second season at this point sounds doubtful, from what I've found looking around.
It's a very interesting story, but it stops just as it's getting good. All of the questions asked go unanswered, the story is utterly incomplete. It had the potential to be an amazingly good anime, however until it is actually completed... I can't give it a 10.
I'm sorry to have to give it a 7... but in the end it's lacking... an end, even if that end were a cliffhanger.
I would recommend it, though with the warning you'll be left highly unsatisfied.

I do hate when that happens-_-'. When it is good at the begining then it starts to get complicated, and either it's too hard to understand, or it goes unanswered.
