My first blog here on MAL though I have been on the site for a while now. Do not have much to say beyond that. But feel free to leave a comment or say hi, and do not forget to check out my anime list.
Well then as I say I do not have much to say. It seems to be big news that Geneon is calling it quits in the United States. This leaves much up in the in as to what will happen to the titles that they are in the middle of producing and how this will effect the indurstiy as a whole. Must of what I have been reading states that while sales of dvds is staying constant; profits are falling. What does this show about the interest in Anime in the US? While interest is staying the same or growning companies do not have the able to maintain long term goals due to many possible reasons that I do not have the expertice to comment on. Anyways anyone with comments on this feel free to disscuss or inform, ya know.

welcome to the site! :Das for geneon, i have no idea as well...but bluesnow is correct about anime interest being at an all time high in the united states though...it might be internal problems like production costs increasing or wage increases that are cutting into the profits...*shrugs*...that's just my guess... |
