I can connect the reasoning, but how did L , Mello, and Near get this reasoning. It's like they kow what to say JUST AND ONLY JUST for advancing the plot.... cant beloeve these super "detectives" are more like all knowing gods.... Seriously, they aren't even detectives anymore when they resort to kidnappings, abductions, and threats...

Best quote: I know illing people is a crime, but that the only way to do it." By it Yagami light is reffereing to cleanse the world of all evil. Anndd they became murderers in the end. Great job detectives. There is no way of erasing evil without killing in this world besides well incarceration. Since incarceration is the same as taking away all the rights to life besdies well, living: Death Note's theme, although nihilistic and quite pessimistic, You cannot purge if you do not become evil itself. But in the end, when Ryuk mentions, "We've eased each other boredom for quite a while." A theme conveyed is that if there really is no point in living, but just to enjoy life. That means that for Light, Ryuzaki or the original "L" was really Light's reason for living. Competing everyday, and having fun at something even though you don't realize it... that's life.

Plot also seemed contrived and forced as f*ck with "We used the same pen as Mikami, copied Mikami's handwriting perfectly and made the inside and outside look exactly the same... Gevanni was able to do it in a single night." REALLY

Would have been an 8/10 as it did bring a new aspect of anime into this. The series as very psychological and excelled at what it wanted to be. Good psychological anime, butthat forced ending to kill Light... contrive af 7/10

wtf.. Clan frames Zero, then comes back to let him drink his blood. In other words, he puts zero in a bad light, then comes back to break taboo and let him drink his blood, which is infused with the powers of the other mad blossoming lady vampire. Makes zero sense. Characters act unnatural. Lucky that there's a second season. I've had worse anime, but there's no point of continuing to season 2. I've previewed episode 1, and yea, no thanks. Il'll pass. No feels at all. Felt a bit hard to chug through already. I don't want to drop an anime, so I'll hold off on season if it's this bad. Maybe if there's a strong reason for someone to convince me to watch it...?

From a technical standpoint, it was better than most, but I did not see that it was extremely epic than most. A lot of things that break realism, when it strives so much to be a realistic show; this is especially prevalent in the characters not receiving any changes to their physical being other than one injury to a hand. I mean, some of them feel like super humans, clearly not the aim of the show. Also continuity errors present. Would not watch again, though the violence was pretty well animated.

Better than most. Animation is top notch; Some illogical flaws, see post. But then again, maybe Emiya is just that unstable. Not too much emotions but because this show had characters that almost everyone can like, it's really hard not to dislike it—No one won the Grail after all... I liked Emiya, but seriously his character was a little too unstable to truly say he was my favorite character (with infuriating(to me) character foibles)

Good for a few laughs, but I don't think I have the patience for this. If I wanted a light-hearted comedy I'd opt for something else more worthwhile, for the nonexistend episodic nature of this is not rewarding for a long watch. Not all comedy is funny, only about a twice every few episodes. Most arcs are pretty dull, and the laughs are small giggles. Okay enjoyment, could be doing something better is what I feel.

Standard comedy anime, didn't enjoy it too much, and not my cup of tea. Thought, it wasn't bad by any chance though, just I would enjoy other stuff. Took me 9 months to finish lol.

AFter rewatching it, I've come to appreciate it more. It makes sense. Good stopping of anime for the end of the sason. There was nothing left to adapt. Good stopping point for the contiuation of the media via light noevel form.

Good ending. Some inevitable face palm moments towards the end. The romcom in the festival was face palm worthy. Love triangle at the final episodes didn't mesh well with the series. Didn't like that. Though that last part of 25 is very interesting.

As seen, it took two months to binge-watch this without interest to go into season 2(these were primarily squelched through other's opinions, but I can see that they are indeed truthful to a believable extent. Would be a 6/10 due to lot's of really boring lapses, such as the jokes and comedy being stale in the second half of the series, and the melodramatic ninja scene by Akatsuki in the beginning(though I can understand that she would want to role play). Lack of a good "waifu" and proper girl. Nothing but annoying girls except for Akatsuki, but she is too subservient (wish she showed her true self, and not just the role-play one—or is that role play her true elf and not really role playing? No feels, but decent, if not below average watch. Though the MMORPG elements such as partying and the roles within really helped, which probably spiraled it into a 7. Very good ending, but doesn't fit with most, if not all episodes. No feels for such a good ending.

Wait... she's like a storm? It's spring leading into summer. And her personality is nothing like a storm. Does coming from quiet to energetic mae you a storm. Just because you understand someone on a deeper level and make a place in someone's heart doesn't make you a storm. Weird attempt to be epic.

Standard Shoujo. The girl made friends. The guy realizes not to be so down all the time. The end. Couldn't watch it without fast forwarding. Maybe I just have a little patience nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I didn't dislike this. But it was not super exciting.
Too generic. No feels whatsoever, and it's been a while since I've watched shoujo as well. So this should have been fresh.
7/10 this is the standard for Shoujo High School Romance. I now have low expectations for Shoujo

Should have left the romance out of it and did an epilogue ten, twenty years later of some sort, so we know what happens in the future, instead of this abrupt end.
Great action, although the main girl protagonist was pretty annoying. -1 for what would have been really good. Premise, execution, animation, message(about the environmental crisis LOL) all great. Can't wait to rewatch it in Blu-ray quality, may raise the score if the truly awesome parts are included, after all, wouldn't this make it MUCH better than most anime nowadays? Although the philosophies are there, this show lacked a proper direction to tie it off and become a masterpiece (Look at Shinsekai Yori).

Very good. Rewatched 9/20/15. Teared up on episode 18 even after skipping 16 and 17. Just goes to show how good this show is. I wish I had more time and less constraints to realy enjoy it again. But then again, I did only watch Shinsekai Yori twice so yea. Only problem is that the girl protagonist/side character is f*cking annoying.


Needs epilogue. Didn't tie anything about migi , except that he's gone away for a trip

Tsubaki's kicks to the shin sucked as hell. Seriously, there's a point of break for violent girls in love.... Also, didn't get to know what disease she had, maybe some kind of polio? she was slowly being paralyzed, I honestly don't know. Maybe a spine disorder, I honestly should stop wrecking my brain trying to figure this out.
Good closure, we don't get to see this too often in anime.

The buildup to total shit. Yup, the last "epilogue" at least they had an epilogue.... Shirou throws away his happiness with Rin and becoming a champion of justice. Alone forevermore. Pathetic. Nice character development. Everything along just made him realize that he should continue pushing in a direction that leads to isolation and desolation. He apparently sees this as happiness, but if repeats it over a million times, will he still think so? Obviously not.

The beginning flashbacks were surprisingly the highlight of the show. Had satisfactory comedic elements, but the antagonist needed more. Not only did he not make me feel anything for him and his goons, he died like in a heartbeat and many of the specifics were left unexplained. LIke what is the drug, What happened in the two years after that event. How did Yuuji make it out alive. Fighting animation were way above par. It was on the level of F/S Zero/night series, though not as fluid as Hitsugi no Chaika fight scenes. It was tied together quite well; everything referenced each other, and not too many random stuff was thrown in. It was easy to follow surprisingly. the MC apparently destroyed all of his enemies and has 6 fertile young women on an isolated island. Harem = Good 9/10. A harem had an end:They live happily ever after on a priavet island in the tropics. Romance = 5/10(MC apparently doesn't single any girl out to love or even show feelings that he loves any of them sexually)
Gore was pretty nice, and uncensored content adds to it. It may be my temperament or my mental constitution right now, but I do not feel like watching this again. HIGH 7/10. Not epic and doesn't stand out TOO much. THough had some epic arcs.

Started off well, interessting plot. Then the goals of SOX were so.. underwhelming. It was a weak goal to strive for, and I don't see how any of what they do contribute to it anymore. They aren't spreading "obscenity" anymore. Ep. 12 seemed like a filler with minor flashback for char. development for Okuma's father. Anna getrs nothing as usual.

Got boring towards end, but had a few funny moments.

6/10 would not watch again.

Would recommend to a novice anime watcher. See post. Would have been good if there was a clearer plot.
