Chuan Shu Zijiu Zhinan

Both are adaptations of novels written by the same author, Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, they take place in similar worlds, with a focus on cultivation, and they both used to feature a slow burn BL romance, which is now only hinted at due to censorship (still pretty well done, in my opinion). 

-Has the same author MXTX -SVSS is a bit different with the transmigration and the plot compared to TGCF (and MDZS) -SVSS does not have top quality animation - but if u are after a story by MXTX - then this is for you -Both shows show the BL genre even though it does not "exist" in these chinese anime(donghua) -Both are centered in a cultivation world, where other realms exist too - Just loveable characters 

These shows are based on Wuxia novels, set in ancient China, have lots of political conflicts with clans and plenty of martial arts action. They are also 3D animations. 

Both are isekai involving a protagonist who dies and wakes up in the body of the villain of a story (an otome game in one, a novel in the other). In both stories, the villain is doomed to experience a bad ending. Using their prior knowledge, the protagonists do whatever they can to change their fates. Hilarity ensues when they start going out of character. 

Both main characters have the following similarities: - Transferred into a RPG like game world - Use the persona of the body they are stuck in - Gradually become more alike to their persona overtime - Become more comfortable doing unheroic-like deeds overtime - Are considered stronger than the norm *Note: Scumbag System MC is not overwhelmingly OP like the Overlord MC*  

These are both Chinese historical fantasy shows based on a BL web novel. They feature similar themes of cultivation, demons, and magic. In both, the main pairing includes a character who is part demon (Kong Hongjun, Luo Binghe) who falls in love with a mortal. These are both cgi, with Tian Bao Fuyao Lu the prettier of the two (but Scumbag System is still decent). Scumbag System is less serious, as the main is constantly worrying about changing the predestined plot. It is, however, very funny, and Tian Bao Fuyao Lu has a fair amount of comedy mixed in as well. Highly recommend both if you enjoy BL, flashy fight scenes, decent plot aside from romance, and comedy. read more
