A twist a fate leads a hero down the path of vengeance. How will they redeem themselves after being thrown off the right path?
In both of these manga, there was a group of heroes on a quest to defend a kingdom. In Tate no Yuusha, the heroes were called to the world. As for Übel Blatt, they were gathered by the king.
Both protagonists were betrayed by their comrade and were labeled a bad person.
After being betrayed, they both seek vengeance against the traitors. Along their journey they meet up with people who know they're good.
In Übel Blatt, the protagonist is considered the strongest swordsman while in Tate no Yuusha he was considered weak and useless because he only had a shield as a weapon.
