Unpredictability at its finest. Both of these stories can be gruesome, epic, make you laugh and feel uncomfortable all at the same time. Nobody is safe from anything and that makes for two of the most exhilarating experiences you can ask for in manga.

In both titles, the main character attains a power that allows them to alter their bodies. Both titles have diverse characters, disregard plot armor, and have masterfully violent yet fluid action. The plots of both titles are greatly executed as are the developments of the main characters. I recommend both to anyone who is fine with dark themes and violent imagery.

Both of these manga are set in a modern society, where the villains of each story are set by emotion, fear for devils in the case of chainsaw man, and desire for fractured humans in the case of Jagaaaaaan. Another similarity I would like to mention is their similar level of gore. Although their art styles differ, they both utilize grotesque imagery to enhance the atmosphere and deliver impactful visuals, which gives the reader more feeling of action.
