Both MC (Yuzuki and Ohana) were forced to move away from their home and work due to their debt-ridden family. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Yuzuki and Ohana give their all and are extremely hardworking. And because of their cheerful and caring nature, they change the lives of people around them for the better.
Overall, both are relatively chill SoL with some drama mixed into them. If you like Hanasaku Iroha you will like Taishou Otome Otogibanashi and vice versa.
