Both mystery series are prime examples of plots that bite off far more than they can chew and, in the end, have disappointing conclusions. Both series have engaging premises and well-developed build-up; however, in both cases, a proper ending is missing. Both series flourish with intriguing questions, but fail where it really matters - the answer.
