Two funny shojo things with strong entertaining female leads, romance and lots of fun
Lovely Complex and Skip Beat! are similar in the sense that they aren't cliche shoujo titles.
The main female lead in Lovely Complex has a funny personality and the one in Skip Beat also has an entertaining personality that anyone can enjoy watching. The plots are different. Lovely Complex is more focused on romance than Skip Beat, but both are worth watching just because they are not cliche, and both female leads has a rocking personality, even though both of them have different types of rocking personalities =).
Both stories feature a totally hilarious, but completely insane leading girl and have the same type of humour. Also, they both have that kinda fuzzy romantic cuteness...

Both series are hilarious. Each one is about a relation between two persons. These people are so far but so close together that you discover how pleased this relationship will evolve, and in many cases we will laugh at the situation. 2 great animes.
If you like the humor in Lovely Complex then you might just as well like the Humor in skip beat ^^!

Some people might think the artstyle in Skip Beat might not be pretty (To be honest I think so too). but the story is fantastic, the characters are very original/ they have very well made personalities and the humor is awsome ^^! I really recommend it !

these are both HILARIOUS. they both have an outgoing main character and the artist isnt afraid of making the main character make faces. and theyre both really good
- Both Lovely Complex and Skip Beat! have a great sense of humor.
- They have extremely likable, easily pissed off MC's.
- Watching just kind of makes you happy.
- They're FUN without being stupid. Most of the time.
- The romance in them feels honest, like it would have happened even without you watching, if that makes any sense.

both female leads have a strong personality, are likeable & quite humorous. their interactions with their respective male counterparts are also similar- often viewed as comic relief to the people around them (basically gag) yet they have an interesting and layered dynamic to them (there's more than what meets the eye). lastly, the overall ambience is fun, lighthearted, and easy to enjoy!
if you like one of them, i guarantee that high chances are you'll probably like the other
