Long time after they both anime are seen plain names of warrior girls - Miria, Deneve, Galatea, Chris, Jill, Vivian - will resonate in your heart.
Similatries:
1. Grils with strong characters, with guts to fight.
2. The Girls who are fighting are cast off's from sociaty.
3. They're fighting monsters.
4. Drama and action, a lot.
The but's:
1. Claymore is in a fantasy scenery and Cross Ange is in a mix scenery magic and mecha.
2. In Claymore the girls have super human strenght, and on Cross Ange they're normal human with cool mecha rides.
Both animes feature a heroine who must fight mysterious creatures for independent organizations mostly against their will. Both heroines are exceedingly determined and discover some humanity through male beta counterparts along the way. Both are considered outcasts by regular society for being something other than human, and both are used as soldiers. Claymore definitely has less fanservice (little, if any) but is probably more violent, and has basically no romance.
