Two of the most entertainment-packed series I've seen.
Both have extremely realistic, tone-neutral character writing.
In both, the plot is in a constant flux, filled with twists and turns, shifting fast and unpredictably.
The battles/conflicts place an emphasis on tactical, strategical and political aspects.
HxH and Code Geass have a few things in common. But what really draws in the same fans are the tactical mind games that are played in both anime. Surely some shounen and superpowers are a nice addition to that, which only reinforces this recommendation!
