Both series deal with the subject of human connection in an incredibly touching manner. They feature finely crafted casts with excellent chemistry and unforgettable personalities.
Also, OHSHC and Kare Kano both include passionate animation sequences done by the legendary studios Bones and Gainax respectively.
I can feel the nostalgia from both series welling up in my heart right now, haha!
