Both are about becoming a singer. Similar hardships, achievements and two of three male characters in "Chance Pop Session" look like Eichi and Wakaoji (and not only look).
And, of course, the idea. Of singing, singing, and... again singing, no matter what.
I guess that "Chance Pop Session" is less cute and a bit more mature. But only a bit.
