Space Pirate Captain Herlock: Outside Legend-The Endless Oddessy is a show about the manly soul. It stars the meek Daiba, in his quest o make his way to beating the god like entity oppressing the universe: Nu. Herlock is who Kamina would have matured into if he had been given the chance. Gurren Lagann and Herlock aare shows with similar trappings and themes and while Herlock is a lot more slow paced, if you liked Gurren Lagann, it's worth a shot.
