He graduated from Tama Art University in Textile Studies, and is currently one of the most innovative manga artists in Japan, as well as being a prestigious artist, illustrator, graphic and fashion designer.
He is also an animation director and a member of the Mashcomix creators' union. His favorite movie is Tron, he is 5 ft 8 ins tall and an atheist. Fantasista Utamaro has received awards from Pictoplasma NYC Film Festival, Silhouette Film Festival Paris 2008, and was a finalist in 2008 for the Nike Bukatsu in the AD&D London.
