i watched the anime and would like how the story continues. So could smn tell me where the anime ends in the manga?
My favorite quotes from animes:

Those who seek miracles will never experience one. The hand of salvation only extends to people
who try to make miracles happen. - Ef a tale of melodies.
I destroy worlds. I create worlds. - Code geass
We are humans. - Shinsekai yori
100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! - One punch man

The anime was mostly 100% to the novel series until the final moment of the last episode where they held hands by the docks and smiled like everything was fine. That moment proves they will never make a 3rd series because they messed up the possible continuation.

I'll direct you to this thread http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=565401
and click where it says Novel 5 and read the end of the synopsis before clicking on Novel 6.

Its a lot of reading. Alternatively you could always support Yen press and read the full volumes? However I write the breakdowns of the plot for people like you so I understand.

In a nutshell, the story continues from novel 6. No idea about the manga.

Buy the Novel which are published by Yen Press.
They already published the first 9 of 17 Volumes and number 10 is on the way, coming out in december.

The Anime covers Vol. 1 and 2 (Season 1) and Vol. 4 and 5 (Season 2) if i remember it correctly.

The anime covers novel volumes 1 & 2 (Season 1) and volumes 3 & 5 (Season 2). So by all means read volume 4 too as its a good novel.

Just search "Spice and Wolf light novel pdf download" on google and make sure each volume is english translated. I recommend buying them though. Much better experience imo and reading on a screen gets boring, for me at least.

I don't believe there is a way to find the manga past volume 4 online; the group who provided the scanlations appeared to have stopped when Yen Press started the official release in English. You can buy volumes and they are up to volume 8, but they are only easily available to people in North America. I imagine you can still import them if you care enough.

The manga has technically not passed the anime. It does cover the novel volume 4, which the anime skips, and is now working its way through the story of the 5th novel that was seen as the last arc in the anime. However, the manga has recently taken steps that could easily set it apart from both the anime and novels. The manga has taken the character Col, who is introduced in volume 6 of the light novel, and put him into the story earlier. He is now along for the story that is the final arc of the anime. I am truly excited to see how his presence will change that story arc.
