Is the manga more messed up than the anime?

I went on TV-tropes and read some tropes on Freezing and it seems there's a lot of messed up stuff that happened, even though they didn't happen in the anime. Did the anime producers down-play the messed-up factor? or were the messed-up stuff just not covered in the arc of the anime? Is the anime even accurate to the manga?

Yeah it's accurate, but if they added the 'messed up' parts from the manga to the anime then there would have to be more than 12 episodes, and I don't know why there are only 12 episodes
