Because he still doesn't know Sakura's feelings herself, it would be wrong to just name her right in front of her face, like yo, you basically just confessed if you scream out that you'll chase a girl when she's right behind you. Though Sakura hoped him to say her name at the end of his speech when he didn't, this then pissed Sakura off and she thought that to get back at Naruto for not mentioning her name, she tells how she loved Sasuke in front of Naruto to see if he was jealous, Sakura goal was not accomplished thus deserved to be genjutsu'd by Sasuke.


Well after finding out what Sakura's true motive behind that "I loved you" drama (Naruto can read Sakura since they've been together since forever) , he now knows Sakura's true feelings and will confess his feelings to her sooner or later.

They did basically confirm the saskue + sakura thing with chapter 693 in addition to saskue's line in the final naruto movie, oh well i didnt have any real hope that the more developed pairing would actually happen. Narhina is pretty much unavoidable at this point

Well I'm hoping Kishimoto at least ADDRESSES it before the end, whether or not a relationship begins. Or maybe it will be revealed in the movie "The Last".
It would just be kind of sad if Hinata's confession is left hanging in the air like that.
