| Just finished the show for the first time. I genuinely thought it was a masterpiece of a romance/comedy up until the introduction of Hinata. Giving him one or two episodes I got, but from episode 21 on he was focused on heavily for 0 reason. His story wasnt given closure, and he didnt really advance things between Usui and Misa. Is this one of those things that is geared towards the female audience that I just dont get? lolol |
| I agree with you, I loved maid sama, and he kind of threw me off at first lol. But He is recurring in the manga. It’s one of those things where the side character is introduced in the anime but play a larger role in the source material. Ao Haru Ride and Nozaki-kun did the same thing with some of their side characters. I’ve noticed this is common in one season romcoms and shoujos. |
| I totally agree with you... It was literally pointless introducing a character this late in the series... Ruined the great experience I was having with this anime... I seriously hated that guy... I think it was aimed towards the female audience making Usui jealous and all that, it's shoujo so what do you expect...sigh It would've been much better without him in the series... |
