This is a compilation film familiarizing the audience with the Akai family, including Akai Shuichi, Haneda Shukichi, Mary and Sera Masumi. It includes existing footage from the TV series edited together. It is currently showing in Japan and other places that are showing M24 to prepare the audience for M24 as the family has a fairly complicated relationship amongst themselves and our main lead Conan. It does not really include any new footage barring the end. |

Well then, thanks for the information. Yes. Most of the times, the recap intro at the beginning of each film is sufficient for a general audience who is not actively following the story. But this time, they probably need a bit more information. Also, they didn't get the revenue from last year's theatrical showing because M24 was postponed, so there was no film. No film = no money. Not that the compilation film is smashing through the box office, but anything helps. |
