Edit: I've done extensive looking and it seems like the existing Amazon JP listings related to this film are either a children's book novelization or a theater pamphlet for it. The only place to actually buy the film itself is from the production company website here: http://www.mushi-pro.co.jp/2010/08/%E6%A0%84%E5%85%89%E3%81%B8%E3%81%AE%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A5%E3%83%97%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB_%E7%8C%AA%E8%B0%B7%E5%8D%83%E6%98%A5%E7%89%A9%E8%AA%9E/ I've tried to contact the company to see if I can purchase a DVD of the film, fingers crossed. |
| I paid for this Japanese assistant service on Fiverr to contact Mushi Production Company, and he received the response that the film was made exclusively for one screening in 1997 and no other physical copy has been made. Mushi doesn't even own the rights to the film since they were contracted to do it, and the company that does own the rights is now bankrupt. Now all that exists of the film is a childrens picture book made out of stills as well as some random cells that are floating around auction sites. I guess this is truly just lost media at this point v_v |
