The rights of Shaman King were transferred over to Kodansha, this used to be a Shueisha property. In 2018, Kodansha initially republished the whole manga in 35 volumes with new covers from the mangaka himself, but it was digital only. Now it has been announced that they are releasing it in print. It has also been confirmed that the manga sold 35 million copies.

Not sure what does this all means for franchise in general, but it would be cool if that helped new SK anime happen.

I'd say the chances of that happening are decently high. It might even be the reason why these reprints are happening.
