| Hey there guys.Im posting here, cause im not that familiar with all the anime genres, styles etc.A friend of mine is guiding me through, but sometimes... his recomendations suck! I wanted to ask you for a tittle thats dark (obviously, since im in this group of wackos lol), but not dark as in "gore"dark. Something similar to Elfen lied, or even steins gate (in some resemblance). Basically something that will crush the life and the spirit of the characters in there - that kind of dark. And of course a decent storyline would not hurt xD. I started watching Clannad (that friend with the recommendations), but its soooo slow..... like... nothing is happening at all, so im about to drop that if anyone has some ideas to throw my way. | No Animes but Mangas - the best I've read: Hiroki Endo's Tanpenshu 1+2 Hiroki Endo - Eden: It's an endless world Endo is my favorite Mangaka - His stuff is really depressing and schocking: Eden for exemple is a dysopical Cyberpunk-Melodrama: Child-rape, a Girl dies slowly on a minefield - ripped apart, a mother who flees from paramilitaric cyber-troops with her little Child in her arms is execuded together with her small child en detail. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden:_It%27s_an_Endless_World! In his short-story-collection "Tanpenshu" is the story: "The Crows, the Girl and the Yakuza". About a poor, blindfolded girl that lives alone, together with ravens in a abandoned warehouse. A Yakuza who is on the run from his ex-comrades. Stranded in this warehouse. The Girl gives the Yakuza, even poor as she is, a bit of her canned food. They become friends and then....
