| Have you just liked something too much and didn't quite understand why? For me that's Cycling! For some crazy reason I just love everything about it. That's why when I saw the new Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, I was genuinely excited! Trying to learn more about the A-O-P singers, I came across this blog http://cloggie.org/wissewords2/2017/01/07/first-impressions-minami-kamakura-koukou-joshi-jitensha-bu/ After reading it, I realized "Hey wait a second, this guy's right" The plot was pretty ridiculous and a tad meaningless. Ouch! Up to that point I had been wondering why it had been getting so many low scores here on MAL etc. I realized my objectivity was completely blinded by cycling. I love cycling, so I can't help but love a show about cycling despite any of it's flaws. What are some shows that you can't help love because you like the premise? Or are a guilty pleasure? |

I'm a fanboy over it since it's in an alternative historical, world war setting (which I feel there isn't enough of) with magic, and two main leads who have so much chemistry together I don't know why the hell they aren't a canonical couple. It had most of what I wanted from it, and the hype/excitement from each episode overshadowed my critiques of it. Although I do acknowledge its flaws and predictability. In the end, I understand why I love it and I leave it at that. |

| Urban fantasy has always been a favorite of mine. I don't really know the particular reason why because I always prefer medieval settings or fantasy worlds that do not resemble modern society but for some reason I'm just hooked to it which is why Iove the Fate franchise so much. The heavy lore only made it better. |

| I like monster slaying series with badass main characters and with cool monster designs (like Claymore). Too bad the most of times is not made the way I like it, though. |
