| What Suwa did was a great and noble thing. Few people would be able to do what he did and sacrifice their future like that. I mean, he even saw the photo of his future son, for Christ's sake!! Best character in the show, hands down. But I wish Naho and Kakeru could somehow find out. Then they'd be able to truly appreciate how much he gave up so they could be happy. And realize how much he really cares for them. And maybe feel guilty about it too. Really guilty. Terribly cripplingly guilty. (Yeah, I'm still sore about Suwa not getting his happy ending) |

| Kakeru can be all suicidal for all I care, the show was basically ' How to help your friend not kill himself' , Kakeru was basically the plot device the show needed. In essence, Orange to me was more of a friendship anime more than a romance one though, it showed much more on how friends could go to such lengths to help each other out to avoid having regrets. The conclusion of the show which is more of a friendship hug and Adult Naho being satisfied that Kakeru is saved implies this, if it were more of a romance show I think in the end theyll see Naho X Kakeru hand in hand, or show their married/dating future lives. OT: SUWA best bro of all time, he got dumpstered like how a certain girl in Re Zero got dumpstered. |
I second this!geez...I feel so bad for Suwa and Rem. They're the best bro/husband/waifu/friend and yet they will live as the third wheel forever. Even though its fiction, lol, this is a subject very close to reality, lool. |

This means that even if future Suwa still has happiness, current Suwa cant sit back and say the future is set in stone' I'm guaranteed to be with Naho.' What's more, current Suwa KNOWS theres a good future for him with Naho with a picture of his family. Imagine knowing that happiness just lies ahead had you done something differently, thats tremendous sadness in itself. His self-sacrifice is borderline inhumane, I do not think anyone in real life would give up a girl to another guy when he saw his own future with the girl already. That said, I'm ranting because I dont really fancy Kakeru anyway, he was mopy the whole series, yes he has depression,but still, its hard to cheer for someone who was essentially saved, and got the girl he wanted when he didnt really put much effort in like Suwa does. |
