nami the orca is a lot like kyou

Nami was one of a few orcas captured in Japan. She was caught off the waters around Taiji and was soon brought to the Taiji Whale Museum; there she was placed in a locked sea pen. Due to her temperamental and moody personality, trainers never entered the water with her. She was used for basic behaviours in shows, but never interacted with guests.

Because of her aggressiveness towards her trainers and the other animals, guests were never allowed to touch her. It was believed she was going to be moved to a marine park in China sometime in 2008 however she was sold for 5 million yen in February 2010 as part of a breeding program at Port of Nagoya Aquarium and she arrived June 18th, 2010 after a 23 hour transport on a barge.

In Taiji, due to Nami's aggressve behaviour, she was never put with dolphins as rumour has it, she used to beat them up so it was a nice surprise to see Nami finding a best friend in a dolphin at Nagoya. Sadly, Nami got sick twice at Nagoya Public Aquarium, unfortunately she never recovered after she lost her appetite in December 2010. She passed away on January 14, 2011.
