Spice & Wolf S1 and S2 covers how many volumes of the original LN? Planning to start this anime soon and finish off with the LN

The anime covers volumes 1, 2, 3 and 5, and its OVAs are two of the three side stories in volume 7. Volume 4 is skipped, but a character in that volume returns later in the series. It's also likely worth reading the parts covered by the anime, since the novels offer additional insight and perspective.
