Anime with strong MC that stays away from other people

only example i can think of is kirito from first couple SAO episodes.(although i wouldnt have minded a bit more condescending "beater kirito")
Plot involves forcing him to work together with others to achieve a goal.
Examples of character that arent really what i'm looking for;
Sasuke from naruto cause hes kind of a genuine dick
Yuki from mirai nikki cause he's a dweeb (<3 him tho)

Berserk is definitely not an eh. Although it isn't for everyone due to the blood, gore, etc.
