Higurashi When They Cry: Festival Accompanying Arc
| 1. They do die-- at least Keiichi dies in that arc after being hospitalized. He has a heart attack like he does when Shion kills everyone and he (again) winds up in the hospital. 2. Satoko was just in the right place at the right time to avoid getting killed while Rika draws the Yamainuko (sp) away since she's the primary target. She doesn't figure out 'everything' that's going on, just that there wasn't any volcanic gas eruption and that the people in Hinamizawa were simply executed by the Yaimanekos (sp) 3. Did you watch the show dude? Both Shion and Mion are dead at that point, Ooishi explains that both bodies were found (Shion falls off her penthouse balcony after she stabs Keiichi in the gut and dies, Mion was killed back in the dungeon along with Satoko, Oni-baba, the village head, and the suicidal Rika). The "Shion" that Keiichi sees at the end of the episode is a delusion, and it causes Keiichi to die from a heart attack (he's at L5 of Hinamizawa Syndrome, and Rika the Queen Carrier just died so he has no vaccine for the Syndrome and would have died soon in any case). In theory Rika has to be gutted, and her intestines need to be stretched out while she's still alive in order for her Queen Carrier status to lose its effect on the citizens of Hinamizawa, since she commits suicide and stabs herself in the neck instead, the people won't go crazy in that arc supposedly. But the 'volcanic gases' still happened in any case if I recall correctly |
