| It's not scary, but it gets creepy at times. Essentially, it's all about build up and atmosphere. It's less "oogaboogaboo" scary and more of a "okay, something's seriously wrong here" type of thing. |
| It probably wasn't intended to be, since they present the story from a more holistic approach. Rather than horror, this leads to a more thought provoking story. |

| That's because you don't know the difference between horror and terror as many people, many people classify animes bad because they don't know the diference as well, horror is a diferent kind of fear, is a fear related to physical fear, like being tortured, so horror is more a fear of being killed, and is more related with disturbing images, like blood, fingers being cuted, so horror is a fear produce by the physical pain of yours or others, like when you see someone with a wound, you can ''feel'' the wound even if is not yours. But terror is a fear of the mind, is psycological, normaly is a fear of things you don't see, like ghosts, terror is the feeling that you feel every time that you think about death, not about being killed, but about the fact that you gonna die, and you start to fear whats after. So terror is the fear of unknown. In movies horror are saw, final destination. movies that you see macabre things In movies terror are mama, the missing call, the eye, the ring, etc normaly ghost things In anime is the same. In fact i don't think i ever seen an terror anime, terror is the one that makes you jump, and terror for me is the one that makes me fear the dark. Most of the animes are horror, for terror better watch movies. |
