Dunno about the novel, but I own all of the Another manga volumes, for a horror it's pretty good, at least if you are into ghost stories. It's a bit different from the anime, not as grotesque, at least there are no so many 'silly' death scenes. Besides of that, characters other than Kouichi and Mei aren't as developed as in the series (for example Izumi), simply because there was not enough time for that. Still I'd recommend it though, the art is BEAUTIFUL, people look like actual Japanese, and yet it's easy to distinguish each person. The pacing is also good, if you are a fan of horror manga I'm sure you are going to love it :) |
