no its just that when my poot breaks i want to know how to fix it see, at least as best i can...obviously i cant do everything but until ive exasted all my knowledge its not necessary to call out repairmen plus i can always learn new stuff, but i will always leave the difficult tasks to the pros since im not ignorant enough to think i can fix my pc as much as i can fix my gas boiler :3 |

i use my laptop all the time but its my secondary that i use for room to room. i need one for out and about since if anything happens to it at least i still know ive got but secondary at home. |

the BIOS is the blu screens funcionality...if theres a problem BLUE screen will tell you the problem or it will reset. the BIOS is a series of sounds that represent certain functions within a pc....do you remeber ZX spectrum? its basically like a cd or a recording, it plays a sound/frequncy or series of sounds and it gets converted into digital data which it then turnes into you os or GUI(graphical user interface) basically it has parameters like enable memor chaching and stuff like that, basically IF you know how to you can creat your own system with it, well BIOS is microsoft, but the principle is and has been the same for years you write cose it gets turned to sound and light and then fed through a screen LINUX FTW!!! |

ok sometimes i can barely understand some of the things you say. we've had our pc fixed a bunch of times but it just gets messed up again. my computer is a mac and its much faster than the pc but it doesnt have as much ram or memory and I don't have any games for it. and wtf is a bios? |
