Take it as a rhetorical question since the "?" wasn't added. I'd like to believe that he was trying to say that there isn't anyone who hates it. If he asked, "Who likes Madhouse?", he'd get replies from practically everyone who read the question. It could lead to finding haters in the club if anyone answered that question, so I could image the admin potentially kicking said person out the club. I can't see that happening though. (Joined just to say this, but I've seen enough productions from Madhouse to say I have enough reason to join.) |

There's a new anime that Madhouse picked up, it's called Prince of Stride: Alternative. I think Madhouse is rather special. Of course, they have their fair share of terribad works, but on the whole, they've picked up a lot of interesting, bold and in many cases esoteric shows that run the risk of only appealing to a small audience (Kaiba, Tatamy Galaxy etc). Well, aside from major hits like death note and HxH, they have always been quite unsuccessful on the commercial side of things. I personally find Madhouse to be the most experimental studio out there and I hope they will continue to be awesome despite of lack of market appeal. |

I'm not a sakuga fan nor a studio fan but i was surprised when i found out that i've seen twice as much anime from Madhouse than from the 2nd most watched studio by me (which is Production I.G. btw).There is something about them that usually makes me pleased with their anime. |

That is pretty cool, I'd love to see something like that. I was fortunate enough to meet Satoshi Kon at a showing of Paprika in Washington DC a few years ago. It is a very fond memory and it was great to see Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika as they were meant to be seen in a theater with an audience. I had seen Tokyo Godfathers several times before hand and while I liked the movie this experience really made me love the movie. |
