Marie is a flawless character. You can tell the developers put so much time and effort making her, the love poured into her development shows. Her design is absolutely stunning. The hat she wears cleverly weaves in symbolism attached to the velvet room to show her connection with Igor and even Philemon. The color of her eyes must of been made just for her, it's so breathtaking. Her gloves represent the mystery of the tv world and perhaps the innocence of the investigation team when they embarked on their journey to find the truth. Her stockings represent the dark and malevolent themes of the shadow world and Marie is the tie between the two, ying and yang if you will. Her personality is very multidimensional, making her one of the most believable character in persona 4. Good thing she doesn't feel out of place in the absolute genius of p4's writing, which most fans unanimously believe to have the best story of the whole franchise. She goes through so much character development throughout the game, by the ending of it she almost seems like a new character. The bonds she makes with the investigation team never feel forced and the friendship between her and them feel so natural. Marie is the best smt character ever written.
