Background: Born Neil Dylandy, Lockon was raised in Ireland. He witnessed the death of his parents and sister Amy[3], at a young age, in a terrorist attack, and has carried a deep resentment towards terrorists ever since. This was the motivating factor towards his joining Celestial Being and continuing action in the organization. He has an orange Haro that helped him in piloting his Gundam. He also owned blue, violet, pink, and green Haros that did the maintenance on his Gundam and are related to the orange Haro as well as the purple Haro of Nena. (Wikipedia.org)

During Episode 23, Lockon confronted Ali Al-Saachez and was overpowered by the stolen Throne Gundam. As a last ditch effort, he jettisoned from the cockpit, connected his sniper module into a GN Arms cannon, and attempted to shoot down Ali Al-Saachez. He was able to damage the Throne, but Ali shot down the cannon. The eventual explosion resulting in the death of Lockon, leaving the remaining Meisters and Celestial Being in tears.

The previous Lockon Stratos was Neil Dylandy, his twin brother.
Though he says he has no exerience with mobile suits, it seems he knows much more than he says he knows. In episode 3, he is told that he only needs to distract the enemy A-Laws, but he ends up shooting a couple units down. (even going as far as sniping the head off of one)
hey guys :D i've re-watched all g00 (both seasons and movie) right a couple of months ago especially to fully enjoy neil
but now i'm trying to find back a particular episode containing this scene i have in mind right now o_o it shows the two dylandy brothers as children, sitting in front of this table and surrounded by their lil sis and parents, eating during a (possible?) special event (like xmas or so? or maybe was just with warm color to show lockon's family warm)...
i'm trying to find it back with all myself but i can't really seem to be able to D: do you guys have any idea which episode was? XD;
