The Misa Amane Fan Club

Welcome! This is a fan club dedicated to the character Misa Amane, from Death Note, an anime and manga series with a spin-off novel (But that doesn't really have anything to do with this character as she doesn't appear there...), and my second favourite Death Note character (After Near and Light), and my favourite female. Misa is one of the main characters in Death Note. She first appears in volume four and is "The Second Kira", who sends videotapes to Sakura TV claiming to be Kira, to catch the real Kira's attention. When Kira, aka Light under L's choosing, replies, Misa sends a diary entry to hint where the second Kira will be on a specific date and lures Kira into a trap, in a way- thanks to her Shinigami eyes, she recognizes Kira when he walks in front of her and slowly, she falls in love; not with Kira, but the one she knows and Light Yagami. After a video is broadcast, trying to convince the Second Kira to reveal Kira to the world, Misa instead decides to reveal herself in front of Light, Kira, and meets Light in person. She then tells him she wants to be manipulated and used by him, that she wants to be his girlfriend- even a pretend girlfriend is enough- because she loves him and she is satisfied and happy just by being used by him. She later proves her devotion to Light, and I can safely say that she is devoted to Light to an unhealthy, insane degree and she might as well be a little crazy herself. She has been stereotyped as a "Stupid, idiotic slut*", but that doesn't speak true of her; Being a good actress requires intelligence, and Misa is smart. She's not genius, she is of normal human intelligence, stupid in some ways and can be naive, and at the same time she is smart. She is also a very strong character- and I mean emotionally strong, because she lives under pressure and only a strong person like Misa can live the life Misa does and not break or suffer rounds and rounds of whiny angst. In conclusion, I find Misa to be a complicated, fascinating character with unexplored depth and layers that will be found should you think outside the box and see those layers of her character. And besides that, she is so cute! So, after you go through a long and boring pro-Misa monologue, join if you like her as well. Not haters allowed! *For the record, Misa is not a slut either. People who call Misa a 'slut' don't really seem to have any idea what the word actually means. I mean, we're here talking about a girl who refused to kiss an actor when her relationship with Light wasn't even sexual. And yes, she did try to sexually attract Light- and is it really so wrong when you two are LIVING together? Pffft. And if she was a boy that would probably be awesome and sexy for her to do. Gah, fandom is filled with double standarts and sexism. On another note, Takada is not a whore either. Where the fuck is this coming from? I suppose being female makes you a whore, huh. Man, this is even rather offensive as I'm a girl myself. I worry for the future of my gender's popularity. Man, fangirls like this tend to embrass us as girls and general human beings.
