Fate/Endless Reflection

Information

The Fuyuki City Disaster.... An horrific event that took place directly after the Fourth Holy Grail War. With the destruction of the Lesser Grail by the hands of Kiritsugu Emiya, the mud of Angra Mainyu which had contaminated the Grail 60 years before was released. A great fire raged and burned, laying waste to everything in its path. By the time it had finally subsided, the entirety of Shinto was left in ruin, and the bridge connecting the two districts had collapsed. Thousands of lives were lost in what is counted as one of the worst disasters of our time. But even this senseless loss of life did not deter the Einzberns. Their greed and ambition knew no bounds. They must have the Third Magic. In the midst of the aftermath, as people mourned and emergency services rushed to help the survivors, they entered and retrieved the Greater Grail from beneath Ryuudou Temple. Placing it within a temporary seal, Jubstacheit Von Einzbern began the search for an appropriate location for a new Grail War, utilizing his connections with the Mage's Association and the Church. Eventually, he settled on a land who's history was steeped in Magic and Conflict. England There were some, however, who were against this. The most outspoken of these protesters was Rin Tohsaka, a survivor of the Fuyuki City Disaster and the last living member of the Tohsaka Bloodline. She proclaimed that the Grail was far too dangerous in its current state, and should either be sealed completely or destroyed. She called for the Grail System to be dismantled and the Grail Wars ceased once and for all. Many agreed with her views, such as Lord El-Melloi II. Having participated in the Fourth Grail War as a Master, he was fully aware of the Grail's power. Even if the Grail would allow them to reach the Root of the World, a method that was unstable and required such a sacrifice wasn't worth it. The Einzbern's refused to listen. Ignoring their council, Jubstacheit Von Einzbern put his plans into motion. Moving the Grail to a town called Moorwood, he made preparations for a New Grail War. In response Rin Tohsaka, assisted by Lord El-Melloi, followed after them, intending to put an end to this farce once and for all. Two Factions Formed. The Einzbern and the Tohsaka. Both sides equally determined to achieve their goal. The battlefield is set, and the participates are assembling. Which side will you chose? Will you seek the power of the Grail? Or will you fight to end it? The First Holy Grail War of Moorwood is about to begin! The Location of this Roleplay is Moorwood, a large town in the Oxfordshire Countryside. It is roughly 100.46 acres in size, with an estimated population of 11,000. The town has strong ties to the Church, who begrudgingly allowed the Grail War to take place in their territory, seeing it was a way to end this heresy once and for all. As well as the church, the town is home to the Townsends, a Noble Magus Bloodline. They have been their since the town was founded in 1696, and are well respected by the townfolk.

When people think of 'combat magi', their mind is immediately drawn to the Edelfelt. Hailing from Finland, they are renowned for their mastery of the Gandr curse, and their proficiency in hand-to-hand combat.

To some extent, this is true.

If limited only to bloodlines within the Mage's Association, the Edelfelt would, indeed, come on top; but if you include those not within the Association, then that honor would belong to the Schwarzvolf: descending from Norse tribes, they are in truth the strongest of all combat-oriented magi.

Based in Borgalia, a city bordering Germany and Switzerland, the Schwarzvolf history is one of conflict and conquest. Throughout their tumultuous past, what drove them continuously forward was their lust for power. The Schwarzvolf crave and value one thing in this world; and that is strength.

This strive of theirs ultimately led to their conquest of the Fake Grail. They seized it, and they monopolized it.

And it wasn't the only thing they made theirs.

Over time, the Schwarzvolf's main line managed to conquer other twenty-eight lesser magus families and annex them as branches to their own blood – an action which only served to increase their efficiency and strength, making their combat proficiency a force to be reckoned, infamous and known to the whole wide world among sorcerers.

Their mixed blood, however, as much a powerful amalgam as it was, became a tricky thing to control. The head of the Schwarzvolf at the time decided that from there henceforth, the true leader of the clan should be decided in the only way it was dignified for them to do so – through a war.

The heirs of the twenty-nine lines were thus to compete for the most prized family treasure of their blood; the Grail itself. Who managed to succeed in winning it was to be considered worthy to rule over the Schwarzvolf blood.

Currently out of the house at the moment (on my phone) but will do when I get home. Hopefully shouldn't be more than 30 more minutes, running errands.

Lend me your brilliant minds!

I'm good at thinking up ideas, not great at putting them down on paper.
