In all honesty I wanted Yuki to die more than Yuno, I figured it wouldn't happen considering anime ending logic but all the same, Yuki was more detestable to me by that point. He did sorta redeem himself in the battle but even still.

Well it's a Shounen, characters do stupid things for the sake of the plot. Not to mention if you become "God" per say, you'd think that you would at least be able to do something simple as revive a human being. Truth be told I've always felt the powers of FD universe God to be pretty underwhelming. But that aside, mind you that Yuki made the exact same mistake as Yuno did in the first world and it's clear that this was to keep the story going, otherwise it would have derailed terribly long before 8th and 11th died.

Plot induced stupidity does crazy things, in good ways or bad ways. It's the same exact reason why 7ths didn't kill Yuki and Yuno the many chances they had, or why 4th and 11th were taken down when it was pretty much clear they should have won.

Other than the 3rd world character's scenes, I just wanted Yuno to die already in episode 25. LOL. I just couldn't take her anymore. I was really happy when 9th came back though with the God powers.

But didn't Yuno pretend to swallow the tablets?? Plus wouldn't it be a good decision to ask if you can bring back people before faking a suicide?? I find her decisions stupid to be honest. But I mean everyone has their preferences on characters and I'm not trying to purposely put down Yuno, but it's just what I felt while watching x.x

Well all the screwed up stuff she did was justified by her backstory though, in all honesty the only character that might have had it worse was probably 6th and that's because of the constant rape. I mean Yuno's treatment by her parents alone is enough to warp any child's brain but going through an entire survival game and watching as your lover dies and you fail to bring him back is bound to screw you over psychologically. In any case, Yuno definitely had a lot more depth than probably the entire cast and that's always a big plus for me.

The manga's better, anime wasn't bad but it cut out a lot of the details that made Yuki seem less of a failure and the pacing didn't feel as awkward. Only thing was that the anime made the last arc pretty epic with episode 25, I don't remember that part of the story being so captivating in the manga. That aside though, I definitely enjoyed the manga more in probably all the other aspects.

I really liked Yuno's character but then at a certain point I just really hated her, especially like all those scenes before akise's death? How she was manipulating Yukki. After that I just really started to hate her.

I watched the anime, and didn't read the manga. I usually watch an anime then read the manga, but i just really couldn't stand reading something with Yukki ever again, so I didn't bother with the manga.

I just wish in the end Yukki wasn't so hopeless. It was pitiful to watch.

Yep, it's sad that it had to happen that way but plot does weird things sometimes lol. Though it wasn't like the battle with 4th where the plot-induced situation was something everybody wanted to happen, their decision to not break the phones was heavily plot induced but it was a necessity.

There were definitely characters much better than Yuki in FD. Honestly though Yuki was a lot more interesting in the manga, or at least he had more badass moments so he wasn't such an annoying pussy as compared to the anime. He had the potential and he wasn't always a bad character but he's really inconsistent, sometimes he had really badass moments and other times he did stuff so detestable it really bothered me. But either way it was Yuno who carried the story for the most part and any fail Yuki had was nullified by Yuno's awesomeness for me.

Yeah, most people are like "why didn't they destroy the phones" and they had many chances to take down Yukki and Yuno, but it's not their fault, if they took down Yukki and Yuno then Mirai Nikki would end, because the story revolves around them.

I honestly really hated Yukki and the whole time wished secretly someone would just kill him. I felt he was just useless and took away the screen time of more interesting characters.

That's true, one of the main (but few) gripes I had about Future Diary is that there wasn't much time for a lot of the diary holders. A vast majority of them got offed the arc they showed up in and probably the only ones to break this trend were 9th and maybe 4th and 8th to a lesser extent. Even then they didn't get a lot of time to develop so it was hard to be too attached to the people who weren't as important.

But at least 7ths were done right, they were still really awesome in spite of screen time shortage and were not only badass but really likeable. Just sucks that the plot made them do really stupid things when they could have offed the main characters, though that's to be expected.

And yeah I enjoyed that as well, the entire third world arc was really interesting for me and I liked the little additions the anime made with all of the characters that weren't shown in the manga.

Yea exactly! But I mean we knew they had to be taken out eventually since they weren't the main characters but I always wanted to believe that somehow they wouldn't have to die ): I enjoyed the ending of Mirai Nikki when they showed everyone well in the third world? Because I felt like good to know that all the characters that died were doing well.
