<strong>Plot:</strong> Six childhood friends grew apart in high school. One of them is Jintan, now a shut-in. He gets a request to fulfill a wish for Menma, the only one of their friends to have stayed the same over the years. In order to grant her wish, he will have to find and reunite their old friends.

@JM1 yes agreed! I got really attached to the characters and I'm a real sucker for good friendships in series and I just uhh I never wanted it to change between them. I tried recommending this anime to my sister once and she asked me if i was watching hentai AHHAH

Well,i understand that the story made it's circle and that it had to end at some point it's just that i REALLY REALLY loved all 6 of the characters especially Anjou,Jintan and Menma and that i would like to see more of them someday...a series can have the best story in the world but if you can't connect with the characters you end up not really liking it...this anime had a very simplistic story and yet because the characters are so amazing it ends up being one of the greatest series i have ever seen!

@JM1, the movie is mostly a recap, but there are also new scenes that take place after the 11th episode, along with a new scene from their childhood, so it is still worth watching. I doubt there will be any more AnoHana, but the staff of the series is currently working on a new movie called Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda that looks like it will be similar to the series.
