Fate/stay night (フェイト／ステイナイト, Feito／sutei naito?) is a Japanese eroge visual novel game created by Type-Moon, which was originally released on January 30, 2004. It has been adapted into an anime television series, which was animated by Studio Deen and aired between January 6, 2006 through June 16, 2006.

The official announcement and teaser trailer of the anime were first shown at the Rondo Robe 2005 "-Gate to Date-" event in Japan on June 26, 2005, and a curtain-raiser DVD was released in Japan during November 2005.[1] An all-ages version of Fate/stay night, titled Fate/stay night Realta Nua, was released for the PlayStation 2 on April 19, 2007, and features the seiyū from the anime series. The series was also adapted into a manga series, which was serialized in the monthly Shōnen Ace magazine.

I think they can. We saw more bloddy stories on TV shows afterall. But the thing which somehow makes it unfit for a TV show is it's depressing nature. Just imagine at least 10-13 episodes of angst with moral problems and else...
OVA would be much better as a choice. perhaps with about 8-10 episodes...preferably with more than 20 minutes of lenght:p
20 minute episodes hardly fit HF because then we have a whole episode ridden by angst without any resolution.

Though to be honest I would prefer Fate/Zero OVA more even if it's much less possible...such awesome battles taking places one by one.

Yeah, they wouldn't dare release HF on TV, even after the watershed.

We are talking about the only developed nation on the planet who still censors genitalia, after all.

Would an HF series or OVA be great? FSN truncated the, uh, racier bits. I'd be afraid with HF they might shy over how exceedingly dark it is and thereby screw up what makes it so compelling (i.e. best route).

Either that, or this first one's gonna be to remind people of the grail war, characters, etc, so they have to fit less of that stuff into the UBW movie.

Which means, more of DEEN's patented badly done battle scenes for us! Yay!
