It's not stealing, it's copyright infringement - at least in all countries i know.
Economic crisis, nice excuse....kinda passed me, so i tend to forget.

Though of course it doesn't actually change anything, the people you're not paying because you're stealing the stuff are in just as much of a crisis

Agreed for the most part, but it's hardly "stealing" if the supply is limitless and you can make any number of copies at no cost, that's with digital products inculing scanlated manga.

Same here, but in current ecominic conditions, it's dificult to find "spare" money for stuff you don't really need such as manga.

You want me to explain whats wrong about not buying stuff you can (illegaly) get for free?
Hm...where to start...since you can get pretty much anything you can put into numbers from 0 to 1 for free, there is no reason to buy anything if you put it like that.
If you have no problem with that, well, suit yourself. I like to to occasionally spend some money on stuff i like. Because, you know, people might want to make more stuff if they get paid for it.

Scanlators are always ahead of official releases for more or less decent series, what you are saying there's no difference in downloading free chapters and spending actual money on the manga. Whatever. I'm not going to spend a dollar on something that I can get for free.

5 Volumes are out in English right now, 6 coming next year. (April? March? I forgot. Preordered anyway), scanlaters aren't far ahead - at least when i bought the mangas there were no scanlations at all, just rips of the official translation (which defeats the purpose imo.)

The manga isn't released in my country either (none ever gets...) so while i feel with you, it's mostly cheaper to buy it overseas anyway.

Also saying not all chapters are printed by now is a weak excuse when you're also saying you don't know if you like it yet. By the time you make it to the point were there is no official translation anymore you should have come to a decision.

I won't even bother to comment "unlikely that the mangaka will even receive $1 from a single copy, would it make a big differance?" ...

And yes, i'm not helpful. Not trying to be.
